We?fre a little behind the times on this one, but Fukuoka was recently selected by Newsweek International Edition as one of the world?fs top ?gboom towns?h, which sounds exciting regardless of what it means! We?fre in a top-ten list that also includes such backwaters as "London, England", and "Las Vegas, United States"!

JET Programme logo
July/August is the season for new JET Programme participants to arrive in Japan, and this year there are scheduled to be more than 1,500 of them coming! At least a hundred or so of those will be arriving on the sunny shores of Fukuoka shortly, and we?fre happy to welcome you to our lovely city! We have been invited to attend the Fukuoka New JET Orientation, on Friday the 18th of August, so look out for our booth at the interest fair there. We?fll be offering coupons there for two free trial lessons, so you can get to know the school before you make up your mind.

Geshuku Tomo dormitory
Details are already up on the accommodation pages of our site, but we though it might be good to mention here too that we?fve recently acquired the use of two dormitories for our students. These are dorms in the city itself (closer than a lot of host families) used mainly by Japanese university students. They are also somewhat cheaper than staying with a host family, at 10,000 yen per week without any meals, or 12,100 yen per week with breakfast.
