There was a large festival at Hanazono Shrine, the shrine located right next to our Tokyo school, this weekend. Lots of people came to experience the brightly-coloured stands, delicious foods and fun festival atmosphere.
In addition to great traditional foods like yakitori and okonomiyaki, there were also a few less-frequently seen delicacies like ikayaki!
People were seen relaxing on the steps leading up to the shrine, eating dinner and taking photos. Talk about a great way to spend a Friday evening!
