Japanese language schools have a reputation for being quite inflexible, compared to language schools in other countries. Part of the reason we started Genki Japanese School was because we thought we could do better than this. So we’re always happy when we can grant students’ special requests! Here are a few things students have asked us to help them with recently:
- Renting a cello
- Preparing a speech in Japanese for their wedding
- Booking tickets to a local visual-kei band’s concert
- Shipping all of the things they bought in Japan home
- Arranging a hotel for their visiting family
- Finding an evening class to study aikido
- Teaching them how to use a Japanese washing machine
- Finding a restaurant where they can eat poisonous fugu
- Translating a letter from their girlfriend
etc. etc.
We like to think of ourselves as halfway between a Japanese language school and a five-star hotel, always ready to meet students’ every need. If there’s any way we can make your stay in Japan more comfortable, just ask!
