Recently, members of an international exchange group at a local college arranged a party for our Japanese school students. They took our students to a local 居酒屋 (“izakaya”, Japanese-style restaurant).
Japanese izakayas usually offer a wide range of food, at quite reasonable prices. They’re similar to Spanish tapas bars, in a way.
