July/August is the season for new JET Programme participants to arrive in Japan, and this year there are scheduled to be more than 1,500 of them coming! At least a hundred or so of those will be arriving on the sunny shores of Fukuoka shortly, and we’re happy to welcome you to our lovely city! We have been invited to attend the Fukuoka New JET Orientation, on Friday the 18th of August, so look out for our booth at the interest fair there. We’ll be offering coupons there for two free trial lessons, so you can get to know the school before you make up your mind.
We also have an ad in the brochure for the main Tokyo Orientation, that everyone attends, with a 10% off tuition coupon for JETs, so if you get one of those, keep ahold of it until you can study with us! Most JETs are able to get away for study or vacation during school holidays. We’re always happy to help you in getting study leave, so if you have any questions, please send us an email!
Most JETs come to us either at the end of March (just before the new school year starts) or in August (during summer vacation), and we do get pretty busy at those two times. If you’re able to come at any other time, you’ll find smaller classes, more personal attention, and a better chance of finding a homestay family that meets any preferences you might have. Of course, we’re happy to have you study with us whenever. Just don’t forget your coupon, and book early! Every year we have to turn away a few people who apply to us too late to be accepted. We ask people to apply two months in advance, but can accept applications up to one month before the start date.
