From June 30th to July 27th, 2025, our summer program is designed for teenagers aged 14-17 who want to experience Japan in a way that’s exciting, safe, and truly immersive!

When most people think of Japan, cities like Tokyo or Kyoto usually come to mind, but Fukuoka offers something unique: it’s vibrant and modern but still has that welcoming small-city charm. With amazing food, beautiful parks, and fascinating history, Fukuoka is the perfect place to explore Japanese culture without feeling overwhelmed.
And, for parents reading this, it’s worth noting: Fukuoka is one of the safest cities in the world, with an incredibly low crime rate. students can enjoy a level of independence while staying in a supervised environment.
Throughout the program, you’ll be staying with a host family or in a supervised residence. Both options give you a chance to experience Japanese life and culture while staying safe and comfortable. Don’t worry about getting lost—once you land at the airport, a representative will be there to pick you up and take you to your accommodation. You’ll even have 24/7 support if you need help with anything during your stay.
*The supervised residence is currently at full capacity, and we cannot guarantee room availability. If no rooms are available, a homestay will be arranged as the default accommodation option.
Learning Japanese the Fun Way
Forget endless grammar drills and boring textbooks. Our program is all about learning Japanese in ways that feel natural and enjoyable. Lessons focus on practical language skills, like ordering at a restaurant or asking for directions, so you can start using what you learn right away.
Beyond the classroom, you’ll get to try cultural activities like sushi-making with a local chef or learning traditional taiko drumming. These hands-on experiences help you pick up the language while connecting with Japanese culture in a meaningful way.

One of the most rewarding parts of this program is meeting Japanese high school students and connecting with students from around the world. Through our partnership with a local school, you’ll get to hang out with Japanese teens, practice your language skills, and explore Fukuoka together!
Whether you’re navigating the city or sharing stories over dinner, these friendships often become one of the most memorable parts of the program.
Beyond the Classroom
The program isn’t all about studying—it’s also about having fun! You will be able to discover the best of Japan through exciting trips and activities. You’ll visit historic landmarks in Hiroshima, Kumamoto, and Kyoto, and take part in cultural events like the Tanabata Festival.
And when you’re not out exploring, you’ll have time to hang out with your host family or enjoy free time with new friends. Fukuoka itself offers endless things to do. Spend your free time exploring local parks, browsing shops, or trying street food at the famous yatai stalls.

Ready to be part of this summer adventure? The application deadline is March 31st, 2025, but spots are limited. Submit your application early to secure your place! A ¥36,000 deposit is required to apply, and full payment is due by April 30th, 2025.
