GenkiJACS student Barbara visited the nearby town of Yanagawa recently for a day tour on the occasion of a Yanagawa festival. Yanagawa is famous for the canals running through the town, and for the picturesque traditional buildings. Barbara’s tour involved getting dressed up in a beautiful kimono, then taking a gondola through the town. She says she had a great day! We recommend you to go to Yanagawa while you’re in Fukuoka too.
